Robert T. McGuire drew his first paycheck from Wileman Bros. & Elliott, Inc. the summer of 1957 when he was all of 15 years old. Before that he worked for the owners of Wileman Bros. & Elliott on their home ranches. Truman, as we call him, has done many of the jobs both in the field and packinghouses. He has been the mechanic, has driven forklifts, has driven diesel trucks, just about everything. In 1975 he became a harvesting manager for oranges and has been doing that job since then. Truman lives with his wife Bernice of 42 years and has two daughters. Makenna, his granddaughter, is his delight. Old autos and gardening are his pastimes. |
